Gay And Christian: Is That Possible?

Is possible to be both gay and Christian?

Here in the USA, we have people who present their self as a Christian who make the claim: “It is possible to be gay and Christian.

But, the question that must be asked of anyone who says a person can be both a homosexual (or a lesbian) and a Christian at the same time is this: “Where in the King James Version of the Bible does it say is possible for a person to be both gay and Christian?

Now, we understand that it is possible to be gay and to call one’s self a Christian.

And, we understand that it is possible to be gay and to have certain other people tell you that you can be a Christian.

But, when we read the King James Version of the Bible, we find that it is NOT possible for a person to be gay and to have their name written in the Lamb’s Book of Life.

In other words, the Bible tells us plainly that it is NOT possible to be both gay and Christian.

Specifically…

Leviticus 20 — 13 If a man lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman both of them have committed an abomination.

Leviticus 18 — 22 Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination. 23 Neither shalt thou lie with any beast to defile thyself therewith: neither shall any woman stand before a beast to lie down thereto: it is confusion. 24 Defile not ye yourselves in any of these things: for in all these the nations are defiled which I cast out before you: 25 And the land is defiled: therefore I do visit the iniquity thereof upon it, and the land itself vomiteth out her inhabitants. 26 Ye shall therefore keep my statutes and my judgments, and shall not commit any of these abominations; neither any of your own nation, nor any stranger that sojourneth among you: 27 (For all these abominations have the men of the land done, which were before you, and the land is defiled;) 28 That the land spue not you out also, when ye defile it, as it spued out the nations that were before you. 29 For whosoever shall commit any of these abominations, even the souls that commit them shall be cut off from among their people.

In the preceding verses, we see that BOTH homosexuality AND bestiality are abominations to God.

In other words homosexuality is just as abominable to God as bestiality is.

And, God says plainly in these verses that He WILL destroy those who engage in such abominations.

Therefore, it is no more valid to say that a person can be gay and Christian than it is to say a person can practice bestiality and be a Christian.

As stated in the preceding verses, the Bible lets us know plainly that homosexuality is an abomination before God.  And, the Bible also lets us know that no person who does abominable things will get into Heaven…

Revelations 21 — 27 And there shall in no wise enter into [Heaven] any thing that defileth, neither whatsoever worketh abomination, or maketh a lie: but they which are written in the Lamb’s book of life.

Now, let’s go to this…

We MUST know what the Bible says…for our self…from front to back.

Why?

Well, as the Bible warns us…

Matthew 7 — 15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep’s clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves.

Matthew 24 — 11 And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.

1 John 4 — Many false prophets are gone out into the world.

The point is, the devil has people who WILL lie to you and I.  The devil has people who will happily smile right into our face and lie to you and I as they walk us right into hell.

And, the ONLY way to prevent ourselves from being deceived by a good-looking, good-sounding, smooth-talking deceiver is by knowing what the Bible ACTUALLY says for our own self.

One last thing here…

Let’s be careful that we are not one of those who is propagating the false doctrine that a person can be both gay and Christian.  Anyone who propagates such a false doctrine is setting their self up for serious trouble and judgment…

Revelations 22 — 18 For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book: 19 And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.

Proverbs 30 — 5 Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. 6 Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar.

2 Peter 2 — 1 But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
